Greenville, SC – March 11, 2026 – Prisma Health today announced a major expansion of its partnership with Minerra Health, advancing a system-wide comprehensive obesity care platform designed to support patients across the full continuum of obesity care — spanning lifestyle, medical, pharmacy, and surgical pathways.
Building on strong early performance, Prisma Health has expanded Minerra’s role from an initial bariatric navigation deployment to a broader obesity care operating platform. Prisma Health has also made a strategic investment in Minerra Health to accelerate innovation, scale delivery infrastructure, and expand access to longitudinal obesity care across its enterprise.
This expanded collaboration reflects Prisma Health’s long-term commitment to treating obesity as a chronic, complex disease requiring coordinated, whole-person care.
“We invested in Minerra Health because they have demonstrated — within our own system — the ability to operationalize obesity care in a way that drives measurable clinical and financial outcomes,” said Jonathan Gleason, EVP & Chief Clinical Officer, Prisma Health. “Their platform allows us to unify lifestyle support, medical therapy, and surgical care into one coordinated model — improving access for patients while strengthening the performance of our obesity service lines.”
Demonstrated Impact Across the Care Continuum
Since launching at the Prisma Health Weight Management Institute – in mid-2024, the Minerra platform has delivered measurable improvements in access, readiness, and care coordination across the bariatric pathway.
Key outcomes:
- >30% reduction in median time from enrollment to surgery
- Projected growth in net new surgical volume following deployment
- 4.0x first-year ROI, demonstrating strong economic alignment
While bariatric navigation served as the initial entry point, Prisma Health is now expanding the Minerra platform across medical weight management and longitudinal engagement — enabling earlier intervention and sustained patient support beyond surgery.
Proving the Model for Comprehensive Obesity Care
“Our partnership with Prisma Health has demonstrated that when obesity care is delivered through a holistic, longitudinal model — not fragmented point solutions — outcomes materially improve,” said Krishnan Sridharan, CEO of Minerra Health. “Together, we’ve built an integrated approach that supports patients across lifestyle, medication, and procedural care while aligning clinical and economic performance.”
Scaling a Unified Operating Model
The expanded partnership positions Prisma Health to standardize obesity care delivery across sites, giving leadership system-wide visibility into performance, access, and outcomes.
Future phases of the collaboration include expansion into:
- Medical weight management pathways
- Pharmacy and GLP-1 stewardship models
- Employer-sponsored obesity programs
Together, Prisma Health and Minerra Health aim to establish a new operating standard for obesity care — one designed to improve outcomes, strengthen surgical utilization, and deliver durable value for patients and the health system
